A Facilities Technician is a service employee who, under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, performs maintenance tasks that may be indicated and necessary for maintaining Hospital facilities and physical plant in optimum condition for functionality, safety and efficiency. This is accomplished by repairing, installing, maintaining and testing equipment, plumbing, piping, electrical components and fixtures, appliances, etc., and by operating all machinery and equipment in the Hospital Boiler Room and other machinery spaces.

The compensation range for the role is $22.94 -$23.62 hourly
Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent with training in trade or vocational school or combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience: 4 years’ related experience.
Required Certification/Registration: Valid NYS Driver’s License
Physical Requirements: Physical demands are representative of those that must be met to perform essential job functions:
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, climb, taste smell, etc. Must have ability to lift and /or move up to
100 lbs. Specific vision ability’s: close and distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
